Clubs For Young People National Boxing Finals
Jimmy Cooper wins his second national title. Last years class B 54kg Champion beat the England No 1 to clinch the class C 57kg title at Portsmouth Sunday 7th November, a blistering 4 rounds saw The Golden Boy run out an 18-6 winner. Jimmy Cooper's success is the result of years of dedication to his sport, working under the guidance of Senior Coach Jimmy Smith, both Boxer and Coach have done the Club proud

CYP Championships
Jimmy Cooper wins a great fight against Golden Rings Billy Thomas, Billy last seasons Junior ABA finalist found it tough going against the current CYP Champ, both boys fought there hearts out but it's The Golden Boy who progresses in to the next round and another county title to his name.

Awards evening at Brockenhurst Football Club on Saturday 26th June
Club boxers have been in training since August, and the season starts with Lawrence Cartwright and Harry Busby aiming for a Junior Novice title, Thursday night 1st Oct at Titchfield is the start of the competition. Lawrence Cartwright stopped his opponent in the 3rd rd of what has turned out to be the SCABA final due to an admin error, Lawrence showed great maturity and put in a powerful performance, he is going to take some stopping in this years championships. The Southern Counties Finals held at the club HQ were a great success, Lawrence Boxers Harry Busby and Lawrence Cartwright both go on to box against the Eastern Counties in Colchester Saturday 26th Oct. Jimmer Cooper, Steve Perrett and Mikey Powell all lost on dubious majority decisions on the same show while Harry Busby had a useful warm up bout winning on points. Harry Busby put in a fantastic performance but lost in the quarter finals, Lawrence Cartwright marches on to the semi finals before dropping a close 6-5 decision.Dom Powers shows his real power with a 3rd stoppage at the Portsmouth Guildhall, his Navy opponent unable to continue in the 3rd round. The Novice Championships took place in Andover where both Steve Perrett and Dom Powers lost on close decisions,neither boxer was to disheartenedas both boxed very well.
